Institute for Women's Health - Virginia Commonwealth


Join the VCU Institute for Women’s Health & Highland Support Project. Spend a week partnering with indigenous midwives and community leaders in Guatemala, immersing yourself in the rich traditions of Maya medicine. Through this collaboration, you'll gain a deeper understanding of traditional healing practices, midwifery, and the history of healthcare in the region. This experience is an opportunity to listen, learn, and honor the knowledge and resilience of these communities, fostering connections that support meaningful and empowering exchanges.

Participant fee is $1350 + (plus airfare, $750 approx).
