VCU Nurses without Borders Chapter annual Guatemala service learning trip. The trip includes tours of coffee cooperative, meetings with Midwives, an introduction to Indigenous Foodways. Cost is $1220.00 + Airfare.
We work in rural highland communities that are rarely visited by outside groups. With more than two decades of experience working in isolated regions, we are uniquely positioned to facilitate an experience in real Guatemala.
In addition to service projects, we provide excellent speakers concerning food sovereignty, women's rights, Maya culture, and social justice.
Maya midwifery practices, medicinal herbs, bone setters, spirit guides and energy healing. Trip includes visits to Lake Atitlan and Antigua. The 8-day trip is all inclusive for $985.00 plus airfare. All proceeds support training for rural health care workers.
